At the Winelovers Wine Awards event, I had the opportunity to present Káldi Winery to the international jury members and traders in a 20-minute presentation.
In the first part of my talk, I showed a short film to the audience, featuring Szekszárd, the vineyards, and characteristic moments from the vineyard landscape. Following this, I presented the terroir from which Káldi Wine grapes come, the winemaking methods, and my goals.
During the presentation, the audience had the chance to taste two wines: Zephir 2021 and Le Kek 2022 Superior.
The Winelovers X program was held for the second time in 2024. The event provided an exclusive tasting opportunity with international and local wine experts, traders, bar and restaurant owners, and HoReCa sector representatives. We also participated in the event.
We had the chance to talk about our wine, our approach, and our future plans and opportunities, while also sharing all the wines we’ve made so far, to the great delight of our distinguished guests.
I entered three wines in this international wine competition:
- Notos 2021 – Silver Medal, 88 points
- Zephir 2021 – Silver Medal, 89 points
- Le Kek Superior 2022 – Silver Medal, 89 points
Although I didn’t receive a gold medal – I was just 1 point away from two wines ☹ – I am proud of the excellent scores.
The Le Kek Superior 2022 was named Hungary’s 6th best fruit-forward red wine of 2024! This wine still has much potential, as it was bottled just 5 weeks before the competition, so it hadn’t had time to really settle and mature in the bottle yet…
